If you are looking for general advice
For general information about insulation measures as well as advice on bringing down your energy costs, we recommend you look at the advice on the Energy Saving Trust website or the UK Government’s website. If you would like to speak to someone about bespoke energy efficiency advice for your home, try the Home Retrofit Advice Line (a free and impartial service) on 0800 098 7950.
If you are looking for an installer
Feel free to use our ‘find an installer’ tool located at the top of the page to find an insulation installer who is a member of the National Insulation Association near you.
If you have a problem with your insulation
If you have any problems with your system, get in touch with your installer to alert them as soon as possible. If they do not resolve the problem please check if your installation is covered by guarantee. The Cavity Insulation Guarantee Agency provides independent 25 year guarantees for Cavity Wall Insulation fitted by registered installers in the UK and Channel islands.
The Solid Wall Insulation Guarantee Agency (SWIGA) has been established to provide householders and landlords with an independent, uniform and dependable guarantee covering professionally installed External solid wall insulation solutions.
As a not for profit organisation the NIA is unable to offer advice or get involved in specific cases or disputes. Due to the volume of enquiries we also cannot guarantee a response to individual consumer queries.
